WELCOME to the Throwing Down the Gauntlet 2026 at Jones Creek Ranch, an Armory Disc Golf Gold Tier Event Sponsored by MVP Disc Sports!

This functions as a stand alone tournament (payouts as normal, etc) PLUS earns points towards the Throwing Down the Gauntlet season tour, the largest disc golf tournament series held across Texas. Earn points and an invitation to the Invitational Championship October 2-4, where you'll compete for over $10,000 in added cash + prizes spread across all divisions!

In addition to playing for yourself individually, you will also choose one of three factions to represent for the year. Your performance will earn points for your chosen side as well as towards your own points standing in TDTG 2026. All year long the three factions will be competing for bragging rights, so choose wisely and lead your team to victory!

Winners for each division of 5 or more players will receive an AUTOMATIC bid to the End of Season Championship, where they will compete for THOUSANDS of dollars in added cash + prizes!

This event will have a 3x point multiplier for this event for Throwing Down the Gauntlet Season Points Standings

General

-This will be a 2 round event, with both rounds being held at Jones Creek Ranch in Richmond, TX

- Multiple CTP prizes up for grabs for free BOTH rounds!

- Mega CTP and Ring of Fire after the second round for free prizes!

Tournament Day

- Round 1 will start @ 9:00am with a players meeting at 8:30 am

- Hole assignments will be listed on the Armory Disc Golf Facebook page and the PDGA event page

- There will be a ~1.5ish hour lunch break after the last card is turned in, and round 2 will start promptly after. Check our Facebook page update thread or PDGA event page for the exact start time of the second round

- In case of a tie for 1st, the playoff loop will be the following on repeat until there is a winner:

This year we're raising funds for St. Jude's. As part of this we've partnered with MVP Disc Sports, who is offering a MASSIVE year long raffle with prizes valued at over $1000. 100% of proceeds from raffle tickets will go directly towards St. Jude's for Children's Cancer Research.

THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE $5 FEE FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS

Cancellations will be refunded minus the $5 cancellation fee up until 5 days before the tournament begins. Refunds within 5 days of tournament date will ONLY be granted if that spot is filled before the tournament begins, either by a waitlist player or new entry. Entry fees for dropouts that are not filled within the final 5 days will be added to the tournament payout pool. Ams who drop out during this window and are not refunded will still be eligible to receive their player packs from The Armory Disc Golf Shop within 30 days after the tournament.
