Throw Proud and Queer Disc Golf are teaming up to host a series of tournaments celebrating inclusivity in disc golf! These events will be donating their proceeds to charities supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and will remain unsanctioned so that players aren't restricted from playing competitively with their peers.

A lot of the stress and division in the disc golf community has come from people never having played with (or known they were playing with) a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Our goal with this tournament series is to spread messages of support and inclusion, while giving people the opportunity to play with (and against) people they ordinarily might not get to. Too many bad things have been said and done, because when people don't have a frame of reference for something (such as what it's like to compete against a trans competitor), they can only react with their gut. This is totally understandable, but we feel it's important to give people the opportunity to build experience, and make a more informed decision on their stance - with eyes unclouded by fear. At the Allied Voices series, ALL players are welcome, so long as they treat everyone with the same dignity and respect that they would wish to be treated themselves.

This event will be hosted in support of the Ruth Ellis Center in Detroit, which provides a variety of services for the community, focused around youth and young adults.

All divisions will be playing from the short tees both rounds.

Please note that you will need to pay the park entry and disc golf fees yourself, as they are not included in the entry fee.
