For the third consecutive year, the Hellfire Disc Golf Club will host a charity disc golf tournament to benefit the Cooperative Ministries of Logan County on Saturday, December 28th, 2013 at the Pioneer Park Disc Golf Course. The purpose of the event is to collect food, clothing, and cash donations for the needy of Logan County and to highlight the growth of disc golf in Sterling. Over the past two years, “Throw Out Hunger” has donated nearly 300 lbs. of food, over $100 in cash, and several bags of clothing to the Cooperative Ministries; our 2013 goal is to match and exceed those totals.

Registration for the two-round event begins at 8 o’clock the morning of the 28th followed by a players meeting at 8:35 and the first round at 9 am. The entry fee for the event is $10 per player and at least five non-perishable food items; cash prizes will be awarded by division. Community members not interested in playing in the event but would like to support our purpose may drop off donations at the Pioneer Park Pavilion at any point during the event.
