About this tournament

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Don Kleppe Memorial. For those that didn’t know Don he not only was an incredible person and a great friend, he also played a pivotal part and was instrumental to the early growth of disc golf in West Virginia. He played a large role in getting the city of Huntington to get the first public disc golf course in West Virginia put into Rotary Park. Don went around Huntington to raise money for baskets and teepads to help get Rotary built. Without Don and Johnny Sias, disc golf in WV wouldn’t be where it is today. This event is to honor Don and his life and show appreciation to all his hard work growing this great sport we all love.
This event will be hosted at Rotary Park and Indian Rock in Huntington, WV. It is a 2 Round 1 Day C tier event. The players pack is to be determined.
This event is a trophy only event.
2.06 - True Amateur
True Amateur (also referred to as "trophy only") is the designation used by the PDGA in reference to those amateur events at A-Tier and below, or the amateur portions of events, which promote the true spirit of amateur athletics by presenting only trophies to the top finishers of the tournament rather than a payout in merchandise.
The trophy’s per division will depend on the field size.
2-7 players: 1st place only.
8-13 players: 1st and 2nd place.
14+ players: 1st through 3rd place.
