About this tournament
Welcome to the first event in The Scorpion Disc Golf Multiverse, Pokémon World
This is a single round, shotgun start event. It is unsanctioned and all card requests will be approved! The main goals with all of these events are fun and friendship. Please remember that!
Player Pack:
Each player will receive a pokeball with a custom mini inside, a mini Pokédex booklet (for score keeping purposes, and more!
Layout:
MA1 and ALL Open players will be playing all shorts. MA2 will be playing some shorts and some temp pads. ALL other divisions will be playing from temp pads. They will mostly just make the holes easier and shorter! All pads will be marked. Depending on weather, I will be going out late the week of to mark ahead of the event.
Play Style:
Each hole represents a different Pokémon (and it’s evolution line) On the tee pad there will be stickers on the tee sign showing you which Pokémon correlates to the score on that hole.
Example:
Hole 1- Charmander
Bogey or worse = Charmander
Par = Charmeleon
Birdie = Charizard
Eagle or better = Mega Charizard
Whatever score you get on the hole, you will receive a sticker reflecting that Pokémon on the next tee pad. You will put that in your booklet. Very simple. At the end of the round, your booklet will be turned in and we will add the “value” of your top 6 Pokémon to decide division winners. No players will know the value. The better the score the higher the value of the Pokémon.
Side Quests:
Each player will receive 4 pokeball stickers/cutouts in the player pack. You can challenge a player on your card on any hole. It’s a one hole challenge.
3 Pokeballs - You can challenge a player to a 1v1 duel on the hole. Each player agrees beforehand of the Pokémon they are battling for. Challenges can be rejected.
1 master ball- you challenge a player for a Pokémon of your choosing and they get to also pick any of your Pokémon to play for. The only way to avoid the challenge is to give up 3 Pokémon (of your choosing)
Rare candy:
Each player gets 1 rare candy in their player pack. You can use this candy to evolve any of your Pokémon and help your score on a hole. Some Pokémon cost more than 1 candy. There will also be rare candies hidden throughout the course. Find them, use them.
Pokeball Hunt
There will be 30 or so pokeballs hidden all over the course. Collect those and turn them in for prizes after the round
CTPs on every hole and division specific.
Pinatas after the round :)
Award Ceremony:
After the round we will have a prize table. It will be full of fun Pokémon items.
Division Winners get to pick a prize first, followed by CTP, pokeball finders, best dressed, and the top 3 people that caught the MOST Pokémon will be recognized and have a prize.
