Variety and Balance: Providing a well-balanced experience for players. "The Jungle"
design incorporates a balance of open and wooded holes, left and right turns, and
different shot requirements (e.g., hyzers, anhyzers, and straight shots).
Replayability: This layout hopes to take advantage of the natural landscape:
elevation changes, trees at Nicholas Sheran. An expanded layout incorporates
more water carry, however was left out in this design to make it recreational
friendly.
Risk and Reward: I wanted to showcase a vision for disc golf in Southern Alberta. From tee to circle one, “The Rumble in the Jungle” wants to encourage players to experiment with different drives, fairway shots, and approaches. Challenging lines and routes can result in higher scores, but also offer the potential for rewarding birdies or eagles.
