Staff
About this tournament
This is the 1st Annual Prairie Playoff it is being hosted by Disc Golf Saskatchewan at the amazing Melville Regional Park. Disc Golf Saskatchewan has partnered with Disc Republic to put this Playoff Tournament in motion. We, as Disc Golf Saskatchewan challenge Disc Golf Manitoba and all of its members to a singles tournament held in the heart of the Saskatchewan prairies. Our Goal is to create a memorable event that will extend the Manitoba Saskatchewan Rivalry in sports of the Prairie Provinces. Can you hear the Banjos? Hopefully next year we get the same challenge back from DGM……
A bit about the course, Melville Disc Golf Course is run and maintained inside the Melville regional Park in Melville Saskatchewan. It consists of 18 new (installed in 2021) Discatcher Pro 28 baskets. This course is regularly a par 56 5300 foot course with some low ceiling, some wide open, a pond water hazard and some unforgiving tunnels.
Disc Golf Saskatchewan would like to thank Jason The owner of Disc Republic in Winnipeg MB firstly for his imperative roll in securing the baskets for the Melville course last year just in time for the 16th Annual Saskatchewan Open. Jason has graciously offered to sponsor this event and we are very thankful for the opportunity to work alongside Jason and the Disc Republic Team.
