About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Welcome to the 2024 Cow Town Throwdown presented by Innova Champion Discs! This will be a PDGA sanctioned C-tier So Cal Series event. This will be a Pro-Am event on the traditional Prado layout with some twists added in.
We will be using the main course at Prado Regional Park. It costs $10 to drive a car into the park (County Park pass holders excluded). Parking does get limited, so carpooling is a good idea! There will be two rounds shotgun start with a lunch break in between.
This will be a trophy only event for amateurs. Pros will be playing for monetary payout. Payouts will be done through PayPal unless otherwise arranged. There must be at least 3 players in a division for a trophy to be presented. Additional trophies will be awarded based on the number of players in a division in accordance to PDGA guidelines. All players will get lunch to enjoy between rounds as part of the event. Lunch will include hot dogs (beef or turkey), sides, and drinks. All players will receive a tournament pin. Amateur players will also receive a tournament stamped disc as part of their players pack.
PDGA Pass Through Fees per player
Greens fee: $11
PDGA fee: $2
Socal Series: $2
TD fee: Up to $2
As this is St. Patrick's day weekend, we will be doing a fun raffle for all players! Each player gets a raffle ticket for signing up. If you wear something green, you get another ticket. Wear a piece of Innova gear (discs and bags don't count), you get a third ticket. We will do the raffle after the second round during the award ceremony.
There is an optional ace pot in play. The ace pot is $3. If multiple people hit an ace, the pot will be split evenly. If no one hits, the ace pot will be donated to a disc golf organization (EDGE is an example).
Female divisions will be able to register 1 week ahead of general registration. You do not have to be a current PDGA member to play. However, there is a $10 non-PDGA fee if you are not a current member. This is a So Cal series event, which gives So Cal Disc Golf Club members points towards their season standings. If you are not a current So Cal Disc Golf Club member, there is a $5 non-member fee. If the event fills up, there will be a waitlist. The waitlist is $5 and is non-refundable
