About this tournament
Lone Star Disc presents The Open Pro/Am Event 2023. This will be a TWO round 21-hole PDGA B Tier tournament. You will play both rounds shotgun starts - one round at Lions Park (Temple, Texas) and one round at 5th Street (Temple, Texas) both courses are slightly modified (shorter) course.
Saturday, Feb. 25:
All divisions play two rounds.
All Players must be a current PDGA member
- 168 Player Cap
- 84 on Saturday for all amateur divisions except MA1
- 84 on Saturday for all professional divisions and MA1
All Pro Payout will be done via PayPal
If there are no aces - a CTP will be immediately following round 2.
Players Pack for amateurs will be 2 Lone Star discs and a discount code for The Open at Austin spectator passes. Additional items may be added as acquired until the event.
Journeyman Sponsor Pack is available in support of The Open at Austin a DGPT Elite event and consists of a commemorative shirt & hat, two Lone Star discs and a Sunday General Admission ticket for the Final Round of The Open at Austin 2023 to be held at Harvey Penick Golf Campus, March 19. Plus recognition as a Journeyman Sponsor in The Open at Austin DGPT Caddie Book.
Pool B plays short tees at 5th St DGC on holes 1, 10, 13, 18.
MPO REGIONAL QUALIFIER: One MPO spot will go the MPO winner at The Open Pro Am to be held in Temple on Feb 25. Players who are already registered to play in The Open DGPT weekend are not included. So if a player wins the ProAm and is already in the DGPT event, the spot will go to the next highest finisher who is eligible. A minimum rating of 935 is required.
Refund policy
All cancelations 72 hours before event start time will receive a full refund minus registration fees when requested thru Disc Golf Scene.
All other cancelations refunds will be at the discretion of The Open DGC.
