Thanks for registering for The Lair Championship 2020!

We will be doing a 2 round event with shotgun starts. After running some tee time events I have come to the belief that we can manage low risk shotgun starts with a few changes in protocol. This will be dependent on everyone to behave responsibly and maintain social distancing during lunch and around the scoreport in particular. Your patience is greatly appreciated- some of this stuff is new to all of us.

Social Distancing Protocols:

Maintain 6 foot distancing at all times.

Do not touch other player’s stuff.

Clear the basket after all made putts.

If you are sick STAY HOME!

There will be no player’s meeting or awards ceremony. Once you check in you will simply be expected to be at your hole ready to play at the designated time. Division winners may pick up their trophies at tournament central. Pro payouts will be via paypal.

Amateur player check in will work as follows. We will have several different Prodigy discs available for you to choose as player’s package. Read the descriptions below and have at least an idea of what you would like prior to checking in- no one will be allowed to paw through the discs other than the masked, sanitized volunteer distributing them and the process will need to go fairly quickly. Masks will not be required for check-in but would be appreciated.

The discs:

400g H4v2- slightly understable hybrid driver

400g X3- overstable driver

400g D4- understable driver

400g M2- overstable midrange

400g M3- stable midrange

300 PA3- beaded putt and approach-stable

300 soft PA1- beadless putt and approach- moderately overstable

Pro player check-in will consist of making sure staff knows you are there- easy peasy.

There will be no food available on site and there are no convenient options close by. BRING YOUR LUNCH!

There will be bottled water on the course in 2-3 places. Please touch only the bottle you take for yourself.

We will be attempting to utilize PDGA Live Scoring for the event but signals are often iffy at the Lake so paper scorecards will be provided to each group as well. If you are at the top of your group you will be expected to pick up the card. There will be a box for returning cards at tournament central- please do not stick them in the board.

Hole assignments, live scoring info, course maps, ground rules, etc will be sent out Thursday evening for Saturday players and Friday evening for Sunday players.

Questions/comments welcome.

See you this weekend,

John Biscoe
