About this tournament

In The Grooves at Fairfield is a shotgun start 2-round event that will be played at Fairfield Disc Golf Course on the Fairfield Gold layout and on the Fairfield Glow layout (which can be found on UDisc).

But here's the catch and where the event name comes from... All tall grass on all the open holes (holes 1-6 and 17G,18G, 18W/Stockade) will play as a hazard. If your disc isn't touching clean fairway at all, and is completely surrounded by tall grass on these holes, then you will play your shot from where the disc lies but with a 1 stroke penalty. And this is where the event name comes from as you will want to make sure your shot lands in the grooves of the fairway! All other standard course OB rules will still be in-play.

AM divisions can expect to receive a player pack valued at $65 or more as well as an AM payout that will include added sponsorship cash! The total value between player packs and the AM payout pool will be at least 180% of your entry fee, but hopefully more as I work on adding sponsorships! AM payouts will be handled by The Disc Golf Guy on-site at the event, but if you don’t find something from his inventory that you would like to use your payout for then you will have the option to transfer your payout to be used at Dellwood Discgolf!

Pro pools can expect at least $250 added cash to the pot with hopefully more to come!

All divisions can also expect there to be some CTP prizes to win on the course as well!

This event will rely heavily on using the PDGA Live Scoring tool. If no one on your card is willing to handle the Live Scoring you may fill out a traditional score card and then at the end of the round you will need to transfer the scores from the score card to the live scoring app. There will be no scoreport at the event and the PDGA Live scoring tool is where you will need to go to view hole assignments and standings.

Also please consider joining the Discontinuum Disc Golf Club as they put a lot of money into the sport in our area and are also a large sponsor of this event. There is an option to pay for your club membership during your registration process.
