About this tournament
1 round of play
The first ever Alzheimer's Charity Classic will give players throughout north-central Iowa a chance to fight Alzheimer's disease through disc golf.
Join fellow disc golfers to put an end to the sixth-leading cause of death in America and help the 60,000 Iowans currently affected by this awful disease.
Registration fees ($15) will go toward the Walk to End Alzheimer's, which is the biggest fundraising event the Alzheimer's Association hosts each year.
Of all the money raised, 78% will stay in the area to benefit support groups, education programs and outreach. A majority of the rest will go toward Alzheimer's research and national advertising campaigns.
Play will consist of two rounds of 18 holes at Sheldon Park in Humboldt with trophies being awarded to the top three finishers (provided by Trophies Unlimited in Fort Dodge). Player packs will be provided by Prodigy Disc (including their newest approach disc, the A4). The tournament is open to all amateurs and is not PDGA-sanctioned.
