About this tournament

Welcome to the Alaska State Championships at Birch Ridge Disc Golf Course! Get ready for some breathtaking fairways, a massive variety of shots and a truly unique experience. Be sure to check out the pro-shop for some awesome plastic for sale! Golf Carts are available for all practice rounds and there will be free practice for tournament participants. Please keep checking comments for current tournament updates.

The Mains layout has been tweaked to include Prodigy Turf Teepads on all 18 holes from the Main layout and a few changes to the course will drastically increase tournament flow!

The amateur field is capped at 80 players currently to ensure that enough merchandise is on-hand for every amateur player pack. If we hit the cap, adjustments could possibly be made as we approach the tournament date. This event will be trophy only for the Amateur entrants, but your players pack will exceed the value of your entry fee. Players packs consist of one disc, one BP2-V2 full sized disc golf bag, and a Prodigy Water Bottle!

Pool A will be playing Mains, Tips, Mains, Megas Final 9.
Pool B will be playing Mains, Mains, Mains, Mains Final 9.

PLEASE NOTE: The temporary teepads for the Tips layout are weather sensitive. A game-time decision to play Pool A's Tips round from the mains may be made if weather causes footing issues and player safety comes into question.

The Final-9 for this event is open to all divisions! The top 4 players from any given division will duke it out in a final, fourth round to determine the true victor. There will be two final 9 layouts, one longer and one shorter, so that skill levels are still kept in mind.

Snacks and Beverages will be available on-site along with a various assortment of alcoholic refreshments. You are more than encouraged to enjoy the alcoholic beverages at lunch and after your round, but since this is a B-tier make sure you are not drinking mid round and do not show any signs of public intoxication. Optional Lunch Plans are being worked on to provide food on-site similar to last year.

We will be using Tee Times for this event. Keep in mind this does mean that day-of registration will not be available, however you can register all the way up until the day before the event. You will be asked to check in twenty minutes prior to your tee time, and you will receive an information debrief (this is your players meeting) from the one of the TDs ten minutes before your allotted tee time. There will be practice baskets by hole 1 to warm up with and the driving range will be open as well. Brodie Smith will not need to pay to keep it open for this event.

No official awards ceremony will be held, as divisions are finished we will present awards to that individual division.

James Gough is fronting the added cash for this event so please make sure to reach out and thank him. East Rip has also generously donated a sponsorship package so please make sure to check them out if you're over 21!

*There needs to be a minimum of 3 people in a division for that division to be fielded at this event. If you sign up for a division and the division doesn’t receive enough entrants you can freely move to any other division you qualify for!
