About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Florence Disc Golf Association welcomes you to the 4th Annual Mars Bluff Merry Glow Round! This year, our holiday tournament is PDGA-sanctioned, so we plan to make it bigger (and brighter) than ever. All participants will play two rounds: round 1 during afternoon daylight and round 2 teeing off after dusk. The course will be lit up and decorated in FDGA's customary festive fashion--you won't want to miss it! Just hear those chains a-jingling, ring ting tingling too...
All paid participants will receive a players pack that includes a commemorative GLOW PLASTIC disc from Gateway! Registration also includes automatic entry for the ace pot and CTP prizes.
$3 in pass-through fees will go towards the PDGA.
This is a true amateur event; there will be no payouts for amateur divisions. All divisions with 3 or more players will receive at least a first place trophy.
Any registrants who do not have a current PDGA membership will be charged an automatic $15 event fee by the PDGA. However, anonymous donors within FDGA have stepped up to cover (reimburse) these fees for the first 10 nonmembers! Please use the "Contact" button on Disc Golf Scene to reach out to tournament directors about reimbursement if you are charged a fee. Remember also: If you purchase or renew a PDGA membership during this time of year, you will be covered for this tournament and all of 2026! Visit https://www.pdga.com/membership for details.
Layout notes
We are using a custom 18-hole layout designed to eliminate cross-fairway play and reduce backups. Hole/basket 4 will not be used, and a temporary basket will be set up for "hole 10." Play through each of the baskets twice according to the tees listed below.
Round 1 tees (daylight)
MPO, FPO, MA1: Play from long tees twice through (par 60; 5156')
FA1, MA40, FA40, MA2, FA2, MA3: Play from short tees once and from long tees once (par 57; 4107')
Round 2 tees (glow)
All divisions noted above: Play from short tees once and from long tees once (par 57; 4107')
FA3 and all junior divisions play from short tees twice through BOTH rounds (par 54; 3040').
