About this tournament
$2,000 added cash
2 rounds of play
Welcome to the 2026 Blackjack Open!
Okay, so lots of changes to go over for this year's edition.
Firstly, we are only playing 2 rounds at Paint Creek for every division this year. I've had 2 separate incidents over the last 2 years where I've been informed of other events sharing the courses/properties with little advance warning. Paint Creek year after year goes out of its way to accommodate for this event so I'm gonna stop trying to be cute and just aggregate everyone to one course.
Secondly, I bet some of you will be saddened to see the added cash has gone down significantly this year. Not going to sugarcoat it, it seems the sponsorship money in 2026 has dried up severely. Almost every company I've contacted, ones that have supported this tournament for years, have told me sponsorships just aren't in the cards as of right now, and I understand that. That being said, I have already secured $2,000 added cash for pros and I bet that number will go up to some extent by tournament time. Hey, speaking of which, are you a company interested in any form of sponsorship? Email me at [email redacted] and let's try to work something out.
Details on course specifics will remain TBA until I can get down to the course hopefully soon and see what it looks like currently. I know 23 holes are playable as of right now but this being the Blackjack Open I'm not sure yet if I want to deviate from the traditional 21 hole layout.
Big thanks to the fine folks at Great Lakes Disc for staying on as title sponsor this year. They will be handling all am payouts this year and I'm sure they'll kill it with that just like they did last year.
Love you all and get ready for the 5th year of the Blackjack Open!
