The 2022 season is beginning real soon so I thought I might lay out the upcoming year and how we expect it to go. There will be some changes this year. As hard as I try to make everyone happy and to make it so everything fair ,there are always more challenges ahead.
This year we will play by shotgun start. Hopefully this works. No more showing up early and going out at 4:00pm. This seems to be a little unfair to the players that can't show up early. That being said I think we will have to cap the league each night at no more than 90 players per evening.. Show up and sign in early to secure your spot. . This puts up to 5 on a card max on those big nights.. Everyone might need to come prepared for darkness on a few holes but it will be a little fairer to all . (Plus you all get to do a little glow once in a while)
We expect this year to run the same as last year as far as switching from north to south every 4 weeks . We will start on North. This should give us as much daylight as possible for the beginning of the season.There will be advanced and intermediate division for men, and a women's division also.
The cost was raised to play in the league by $5.00 for the first time in a while. We had to do this as prices for everything keep rising including the bag tags and shirts, along with the food for the end of season party. Thats life I guess . $40:00 for the season isn't to bad.
Each week a CTP will be offered as well as an Ace Pot. The cost is small. $1;00 for the CTP and $2:00 for the Ace Pot. No changes there . The Ace Pot will be capped at $500. If no Ace is hit a second pot will start and so on. At the end of the season if there is any Ace Pot Cash still out there we will have the usual Ace Pot shoot out on hole #2 for the remaining cash. Depending on how large the pot still is will determine how we divide it up for the play off.
We always have a get together at the end of the season and we will again this year. There will be awards also. I will make an announcement about that later in the season. Were looking forward to seeing everyone real soon.
