About this tournament

You are cordially invited to Morristown TN and Hamblen County as Disc Golf 1 (DG1) presents the PDGA A-tier "Tennessee State Disc Golf Championships" May31 -June 2, 2024.

We at DG1 want to publicly thank HB Clark for founding the event and for all the hard work he put in making it a huge success!!

It is our objective to continue to offer the highest quality A tier event as well as create new and unique ways to provide a player experience that is second to none.

We appreciate the trust HB and the City of Morristown has for our team and we pledge to do our best!!

Online registration closes on May 29. Any registrations after May 16 will incur a $10 late fee and there will be no guarantees on getting a 2024 version of the super color disc

What is DG1?
DG1 is a united collaboration of three Disc Golf promoters with 50+ combined years of experience coming together to host large scale events. Disc Golf 1 is Tim Barr (Premier Design DG) from Tennessee, Chuck Connelly (Spike Hyzer) from North Carolina and Mike Barnett (Sun King) from Florida. Stay tuned for more info on future DG1 events!

True Amateur Event
DG1 hosts true amateur events which offer a large, high value players pack to all Amateur players, combined with high quality trophies instead of a "payout" to the top finishers in each division.

1st place finishers in all Professional divisions will get a trophy
Payout will be via PayPal.

Back for 2024 will be the FLEX START events at Kiwanis and Cherokee Parks on Thursday.

DG1 is an Amateur oriented disc golf organizational entity that promotes TRUE AMATEUR, TROPHY ONLY.
Our trophy payout structure is based on attendance while keeping a realistic value on depth paid versus players in attendance.

Trophies for divisions with 3 or more players registered by May 2nd.

Divisions with fewer than 3 players will not receive a trophy.

This deadline is set because of the time needed to create and receive trophies.

Trophy Structure

3-4 players, 1 trophy
5-8 players, 2 trophies
9-12 players, 3 trophies
13-16 players, 4 trophies
17 or more players, 5 trophies

Expect some exciting Player Parties on Friday and Saturday evenings!!
On Friday, we are planning a player social at Good Ole Days restaurant with a trivia contest hosted by Tim.
On Saturday, the fun begins with a player social at Good Ole Days, followed by funa nd games at Morristown Landing, site of player check in and Tournament Central for the event. We will have a 9 hole short course, cornhole, badminton, and bocce ball, as well as access ($12 for a day pass, $25 for a 5-day pass) to the basketball/pickleball arena, climbing area, and swimming pools. See flyer in the Pictures Section.

Both should be a ton of fun!!!

Refund policy

2024 PDGA REFUND POLICY in use for this event.

Sponsor level players will receive their sponsor shirt, and the normal entry fee will be refunded per the PDGA policy as follows:

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund (minus up to a $10 handling fee).

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 14 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee.

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 13 days (after May 19th) of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements will receive a 100% cash monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has to provide a 25% cash monetary refund.

Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack.
