About this tournament
3 rounds of play
Taupō Disc Golf invites you to register for the 2025 Taupō Thermal Throwdown taking place on Labour Weekend.
The big change this year is that the divisions on offer are all ratings based to make sure all competitors are evenly matched. You will not be able to play in a division below your rating.
Blue = <970
White= <935
Red= <900
Green= <850
Purple= <800
General=
If you do not hold a current PDGA rating, just select general entry then you will be contacted to find out which division you best fit into. Final decision will be at the TD's discretion, but if you earn a PDGA rating after registration then you will be moved to an eligible division if needed. The same goes if your rating changes after registration. You will only be able to play in an eligible division on the day, so if you improve between registration and game day, you will be adjusted if required.
This year's tournament will again be running as a true amateur event, meaning all competitors will receive the value of your entry back in player pack value and hospitality and there will be trophies for each division winner and runner ups and an overall best male and female trophy as everyone is playing the same layout. (Division winners also earn early entry to the next TTT)
There will be three rounds of 21 holes over two days of play on a modified layout and all players will play the same layout with the same par.
