About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Our goal is to have fun and support a good cause. All proceeds from the event and raffles will be donated to Highline Area Food Bank to help support the local community.
Players will have the option to purchase a Player’s Pack featuring two Pie Pan Discs with a tournament-exclusive stamp made just for this event. There will also be an option to purchase a pizza dinner from a local pizza shop, because if you're celebrating circles, you might as well celebrate them in every form. There will also be at least one raffle if not a few. One raffle ticket is included with player registration. An additional ticket can be purchased during registration as well.
The tournament is inspired by the wonderfully nerdy tradition of Tau Day, celebrated on June 28 (6/28) because τ (tau) equals 2π. While π usually gets the spotlight, Tau fans argue that τ makes more sense for circles—since a full circle is one τ radians. Whether you’re here for the math, the discs, or the pie-related puns, it’s the perfect excuse to go Around the Circle and throw some discs for a good cause.
More info to come!
