Welcome to THE FIRST PDGA sanctioned tournament at Riverside Disc Golf Course:
TD Academy: Sir Didymus's Defense!!
This event is part of the PDGA TD Academy, where new Tournament Directors host a sanctioned event as part of their training. I'm really excited to run my first PDGA tournament and to welcome players out to Riverside for a fun, affordable, amateur event. As part of the TD Academy program, the usual $15 non-member fee is waived. A PDGA membership is not required to participate.
This will be an amateur-only, shotgun start, two-round C-tier tournament. Each round will consist of two 9-hole loops. The layouts are as follows (subject to change depending upon number of entrants):
MA1/FA1
Round 1: Blue/Blue
Round 2: White/White
All Other Divisions
Round 1: White/White
Round 2: White/White
Player's Pack
Every player will receive 2 discs and 1 mini disc provided by the TD Academy program, including:
• EMac Truth (full color)
• MVP (Axiom) disc TBD (premium plastic, likely an Insanity or Crave)
• PDGA mini marker
Ace Giveaway!
Any ace will receive a free disc courtesy of Elevation Discs.
Check in & Player Amenities
A tent will be set up next to the parking lot that will serve as tournament HQ. Players will have access to:
- Tournament check-in and scoring hub
- Porta-John
- Snacks
- Water
- Practice basket
Fee Breakdown
$30 entry fee:
$15 player's pack ($45 value)
$3 PDGA fee
$12 back to the club
There will be a brief players meeting before we begin.
Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming tournament atmosphere whether you're chasing a win in your division, or playing one of your first PDGA events.
