About this tournament
1 round of play
LAYOUT:
As the focus of the tournament is on players new to the sport, all divisions will play a single round on the Blue tee to Blue basket layout.
PLAYER’S PACKS:
The PDGA has sent me a total of 25 players packs, so this means there are 0 players packs remaining (as of May 21). IF you register now, for your players pack, you will receive 1 disc from Discraft.
CTPs:
There will be a CTP (closest to the pin) on all 18 holes through generous donations of custom hats from 1010Discs ($20 value), UDisc (five 1-year gift subscriptions ($30 value), and event-sponsored items from MVP: MVP Cell bags with 2 lab second discs each ($30+ value), and a TD donation of several beautiful discs (Tour Series Meteor and PDGA Relay). Only 1 CTP may be won by any single player, so 18 players will walk away with a great extra prize!
IF 10+ players register, a Ricky Wysocki Proto Hallux will be raffled at the end of the tournament ($20+ value)
IF 20+ players register, an MVP Pod will be raffled at the end of the tournament ($75 value)
IF 40+ players register, an MVP Black Hole Pro will also be raffled at the end of the tournament ($135 value)
Every player will automatically be given 1 entry into the raffle (assuming we reach the 20 player threshold). Extra raffle entries will be available on the day of the tournament ($1 each, max of 5).
PLAYER PASS-THROUGH FEES:
$30 per player Entry Fee
$3 PDGA Sanctioning
Ace Pot: optional, $3. If no ace is hit, we will have a CTP throw-off on hole 1 at the end of the event.
Non-current PDGA member fees will be waived to make the event more accessible for all players in our community
All remaining funds after tournament expenses will be donated to Miamisburg Park and Rec for course improvements at Sycamore.
SCORING:
We will be utilizing PDGA Live Scoring to keep score during the tournament. All players are required to keep score during the tournament per PDGA rules.

PDGA TD ACADEMY
PDGA TD Academy is a biweekly, six‑session class created by the Professional Disc Golf Association to grow the next generation of confident, community‑focused Tournament Directors. It brings together players who want to learn how events actually come to life. This event exists because of PDGA TD Academy. Your TD completed the full six‑session program, applying what they learned to design a tournament that is: player‑first, consistent with PDGA standards, community‑minded and organized around increasing new players participation in tournaments. There are no payouts for TD Academy events.
