About this tournament
Hello Lowcountry Disc Golfers.
Welcome to our 1st tournament of the new year.
We are heading to the Fire Swamp where the Swampasorous Erectus has been awaiting our return.
This will be a sanctioned, C-Tiered , 2 round, Singles tournament.
This tournament begins our “Fun and Affordable’’ fundraiser series of tournaments for 2025.
Therefore, we will not be giving out trophies , and there will be no ‘’traditional’’ player’s packs, and no pay outs.
The money raised will go to offset the cost of our year end tournament (Hampton Park)
Money will also go to local course maintenance.
Many of you participated in our ‘’Fun and Affordable’’ disc golf tournaments in 2024.
We plan on continuing the tradition this year, but this time we’re adding in another “F”.
Now we’re bringing you “‘Fun ,and “(a)Fordable’’ , but we’re adding in Food.
That’s right.
If you’ve been to our last few tournaments, you know that we’ve been breaking out the grill and serving up burgers and dogs for lunch in between rounds.
We’ll be continuing that tradition at the Fire Swamp.
We will also have an event specific disc marker/coaster, and keychain for you.
Plus, this year Lowcountry Disc Golf is introducing something new and fun for you.
We will be handing out Lowcountry Disc Golf dog tags to you at our tournaments this year.
The Swampasorous Erectus is our 1st tournament this year, so the dog tags will have the #1 on the back of them.
Our 2nd tournament of the year will have the #2 on the back of the tags.
The 3rd tournament of the year will have the #3 on the back of the tags, and so on …
At the end of the year, whoever has the most numbered Lowcountry Disc Golf dog tags will win a free entry into our Hampton Park tournament for 2025.
If there is a tie for having the most tags, then we will have a contest or drawing to see who the winner of the free tournament entry will be.
