About this tournament
More details: Registration on site from 9 - 9:30 am, Tournament begins @ 10:00 am.
Directions to course and parking: From downtown Grand Marais at the big black anchor along the bay, proceed east 3.9 miles along the bay on H58 to the School Forest Road, turn left and go 0.5 miles north to Superior Pines Road. If road is open, turn left and proceed to designated parking areas. After 10 spaces have been filled the road will be closed. There is additional parking on the east side of the School Forest Road just past the Sucker River, about 300' north of Superior Pines Road.
This is not a fundraising tournament; however, if 10 or more players register to play the money portion of the tournament, 20% of the proceeds will be paid back to the Grand Marais School System, who owns the course. The payback is for improvements made to the course for this tournament, future operations, and as the school see fit.
Registration fee is $10 per player for those 18 and over and those wishing to share in the player payout potion of the event. Same holds true for closest to the pin contest on hole #10 and putting contest at the temporary hole #19 after the tournament has completed.
If you email me at: [email redacted], I can send you a scorecard that is improved and more accurate than what you may find from other sources. You can also email me if you have any questions or comments.
This event may begin with a shotgun start depending on how many participants register to play.
There is a 19th hole called "The Way Back" which will have a temporary hole installed for the tournament and for the putting contest. The hole is just for fun since hole #18 leaves you about 800' back in the woods and this will give you an opportunity to play your way back to the first tee.
Scheduled for September 9, 2023
