Welcome back for the 2022 Sunstein Open at 501 Disc Golf Course, in Warren MA!

This year we will have different divisions playing over the 3 day Memorial Day weekend (May 28-30), at the beautiful 501 Disc Golf Course 501 is a 18 hole, with two unique challenging layouts, owned by one of the nicest couple in New England. Parking is a little tight so please car pool as much as possible!

Sunstein LLP is the featured sponsor, and will be contributing Dri Fit Shirts for the event, meanwhile also getting a great players pack from Disc Golf 978 and Discmania! Additionally FPO winner of this event will automatically also qualify for the DGPT GMC tournament later in September.

$750 Added Cash For FPO divisions. $500 from Sunstein Law, and $250 from New England Women’s Disc Golf organization.

Sunstein Grand Prix Finale Players are automatically awarded an invite and have been added as registrants to the tourney.

No Players Meeting will be held
PDGA Electronic Scoring will be used (email will be sent week of for access details and course rules)
No 2 Meter Rule in Effect

All OB will be Observed

Preliminary schedule:
8:00 AM - Registration opens
8:55 AM - Check In cutoff. If not checked in, will be declared a NO SHOW
9:15 AM - Round 1
12:00 PM - Lunch (On your own, quick turnaround, will end no later than 45 minutes after last card)
1:30 PM - Round 2
4:45 PM - Awards/Refreshments by Bent Water Brewing Company & Sunstein!

All Ams will receive Player Pack, and Top 45% of Winning Players will receive Disc Golf 978 Store Credit! Credit is good for life, and can be redeemed in person that day since Disc Golf 978 will be at the event, or via the web.

We do plan to have some sorta of award ceremony for podium finishes so feel free to stay around and watch them get showered with champagne and flowers!

We will make use of the PDGA live scoring. Cards will shuffle between rounds one and two based on place. An announcement will be made by email and on the tournament FB page to indicate round 2 start time. Hole assignments will be updated on the PDGA tournament site.

10 $ will be taken out of each players registration fees to cover the day's green's fees.


This event is the first of 4 women’s series events which spread out from May to August with a finale in September. You qualify to play in the finale if you’ve played in at least one of the previous events. Event details and registration information is below:

FA1 and FPO Winners of this event also AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY for the Sunstein Massachusetts Grand Prix.

More Information about Massachusetts Grand Prix:
The Massachusetts Grand Prix will take place on October 22nd at the world's number one rated disc golf course, Maple Hill.

Similar to last year the Massachusetts Grand Prix will be a finale based event where thirty-two total invites will be sent, and Sunstein LLP is guaranteeing a minimum of $2,500 cash to be added to the pro player purse.

Since this a is point series, even though the events offer different divisions to encourage sign ups, we are only crowning 1 MA and 1 FA1 winner. There will be one winner in each of the MPO, FPO, MA1, and FA1 divisions in a stroke play event. The winner of the MA1 division will receive a championship belt, meanwhile FA1 will receive a special glass trophy, signifying their status as the 2021 champion amateur golfer of Massachusetts.
