About this tournament
The 3rd annual Summer Thumber presented by Discraft will take place on August 5th, 2017 at Lagoon Valley in Vacaville and Skyline Wilderness Park in beautiful Napa. This year's tournament beneficiary will be Project Lifelong. See below for more info about this great local organization..
Project Lifelong delivers a unique experience; empowering participants through the love of skateboarding, disc golf, and outdoor adventure. This program provides our active youth with low-cost opportunities to experience skate parks, disc golf courses, surfing, hiking, camping and other outdoor adventures in various regions throughout Northern California.
New this year, this fundraiser BYOP (bring your own partner) doubles event will feature 45 holes on TWO courses- one round of Best Shot format on the original 18 at Lagoon Valley and a round of Best Shot on the original course followed by 9+ holes of Alternate Shot on the lower course-we'll be playing the alternate layout. Event logo discs will be given out via player's packs this year (included in the registration fee). As always, we will have an optional Ace Pot, CTP prizes, and a Ring of Fire following the round. Lunch details still in the works. CASH PAYOUTS for the A division, B & C will be playing for payout scripts provided by Whirlwind! There will be a $5/player late fee added for day-of sign-up. Field is capped at 108 players or 54 teams.
There will, once again, be a Glow Round on Friday, August 4th. Registration will start at 8:15PM. $10 buy in will get you 3 LEDs, but feel free to bring your GLO plastic. Blacklight flashlights are highly encouraged. 2 rounds on the lower 9. See you out there!
