About this tournament
For 2021 Gorilla Disc Golf was bestowed the honor of TD and vendor for the prestigious, crowd favorite Sugar Land Showdown !!!!
We want to thank our predecessors, Andi and Don Young of Spring Valley / DG Consultants for many years of great work on this long running event. Andi chose to focus on other projects and the torch was passed to us. Thanks Andi for all you've done !!!!!
CLASSIC SUGAR SHOW PERKS for this years event -

Because of Covid protocols, it was decided we would abandon the free lunch this year. Those funds will instead be added to AM added cash !!!!
"COVID PROTOCOL-
ONLINE / FB PLAYERS MEETING-
All players are responsible for knowing all rules, procedures and protocols for the event. These can be found HERE and the online players meeting evening of Thursday Jan 28th on the linked fb page, i will also add the transcript here.

ALL PLAYERS MUST AGREE to use digital scoring.
NO MORE THAN 4 PLAYERS ON ANY CARD.
Digital scorecards - players will have the opportunity to score and submit scorecards digitally on the PDGA webpage. This will require zero person to person contact.
6ft minimum distance rule - We will repeatedly suggest all players adhere to this suggestion
Lunch separation - Players will be encouraged and policed to stay distanced at lunch between rounds one and two."
FORMAT-
2 rounds of 21 holes on tee-times-
Players will remain with the same groups both rounds to minimize potential contact.
Tee times will be posted on the PDGA event page-
AM tee times will run from approx 7:40am to 11:30am,
cards of 4 players 8 min intervals. This will minimize the amount of players near Headquarters at any one time. Warm-up areas will be designated, well away from HQ. We will limit the number of players allowed in these areas, players with approaching tee-times will have priority.
PM tee times-
Start Approx 12pm
TEE TIMES FOR BOTH ROUNDS WILL BE POSTED THURSDAY EVE BEFORE THE EVENT

Payouts -
Payouts for Pro divisions will be done via Paypal.
Payouts for amateur divisions will be handled as each division comes in. They will be handled 3 at a time in order from 1st to last. We will rope off an area and have players/patrons in that area distanced. Additionally, we will ask that players sanitize their hands (provided by us) before and after looking through the inventory.
Sales-
ALL onsite sales will be handled as above, 3 at a time and same distancing measures apply.
Spectators (if allowed)- All above suggestions, especially the 6ft rule, will apply to spectators. We would love for area residents and players to come out and follow along with the areas best, provided its done in a safe manner.

Gorilla Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
Will refund all waitlist players who do not get in the event within 2 days AFTER the event is over.
