The Membership Drive is a fundraiser disc golf event for the Fairgrounds Fling 50 disc golf tournament, and the culmination of the 2016-2017 bag tag season.
Date is set for Saturday May 13, 2017. Check-in starts at 8:30, tee 1st round by 9:30/ 2nd round about 1pm. Lunch will be available at this event at a modest cost, any proceeds going toward the cause.
Entry is the cost of Membership, $25. For that you get: a new numbered bag tag suitable for competition purposes, a dri-fit shirt OR new disc with the club logo, and all membership perks.
Perks include full ace fund payout at SAFE-D Meetings (the weekly Friday Doubles at the St Johns County Fairgrounds), special high-dollar CTP for current members at Fairgrounds Fling 50- Numero Cinco, 20% discount on in-stock club merchandise, advance notice & registration on events, etc.
Prizes will be awarded for lowest 2016-17 tag brought in, and the winner of round 1 (current members with tags) keeps the lowest tag for the expiring season as a memento PLUS gets an entry to the Fling this year.
New 2017-18 season tags will be awarded at the end. Only fifty tags will be issued this season, renewing members will get eligibility priority at the event. New Tags will be issued, lowest to highest, to A) best combined score for both rounds, B) Best score of second round (for those who couldn't make first round), and then C) tournament sponsors, or D) earliest date of prepayment (for those who couldn't make either round).
If you know anyone who wants to get in on round 1 but does not have a current tag, there are a few left at the year-end price of $20 which includes all the stuff you usually get with a limited selection of shirts (several club-stamped glow discs remain as a shirt alternative).
