About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Presenting our second annual Spring Open! This is a sanctioned C-tier and will be a one-day, two-round tournament. Both rounds will have tee-time starts, and cards will be reshuffled for round two based on the results of round one.
Registration and Discounts
- Division caps in place for the first 72 hours of open registration, then lifted. Waitlisted players will be bumped to fill remaining spots.
- Discount of $5 for Stone’s Throw members (check the box on the registration form!). You must be a fully paid member for 2023 BEFORE you sign up for this discount to apply.
- Discount of $5 for under-18 players.
- Early registration is available for members and juniors. Contact Cam to request the password.
Tentative Course Layouts
- MPO / MA1 / MA40: White-White
- FA1 / MA50 / MA2: Red-White
- MA60 / FA60 / FA2 / MA3 / FA3: Red-Red
Amateur Swag and Prizes
- Player packs feature a custom tournament stamped premium disc (manufacturer/molds TBD).
- Merch-out with DiscDeals.ca: Top 45% of finishers in each division win a merch-out voucher with our on-site vendor DiscDeals.ca! Get ready for a fantastic selection of discs.
Pro Payout
- Compete for 100% of entry fee minus pass-through fees†
- Top 40% of each division gets paid out.
Division Winner Trophies
- Presented immediately following completion of each division’s second round. (All are welcome to stay and socialize afterwards!)
- Fingers crossed we get a good run of maple syrup this spring to share alongside the trophies!
Practice Rounds
Your entry fee includes a free day pass, valid from any time after you register until April 22nd. We recommend you play the course before tournament day so you have full knowledge of the layout.
Looking for more to do in the area while you’re here? Make it a disc golf day trip and visit the growing number of courses in the area, including Paladins (Royal Military College, Kingston), Oak Ridge (north of Napanee), and Riverside West (Belleville).
Ace Pots
There will be an $5 optional amateur and pro ace pot. Sign up during registration if you’d like to participate!
Camping
Camping costs $5 per person each night (Friday and/or Saturday). There’s plenty of space to set up a tent or park your vehicle if you have a van set-up. Amenities include a grill (bring your own food), firepit + wood, outhouses, and potable water stations.
Food and Drink
- Bring water (we’ll have refill stations).
- TBD on food.

- All entry fees, amateur and pro, include a pass-through fee of: $2 PDGA fee + $5 green fee + $2 TD admin fee + $3 outhouse rental fee

Refund policy
Stone's Throw Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. We will be strictly following PDGA guidelines this year. Please refer to Section 1.03 in the PDGA Competition Manual for details.
