About this tournament
2 rounds of play
This is the first ever tournament at Hippo Ridge Disc Golf Course. There will be two rounds of 18 holes from the red tees (rec or women's rec) or white tees (intermediate, intermediate women's, advanced, or advanced women's).
THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION.
The course is located at 9888 East Copeland Road, Stewart, OH, 45778. Google maps will deposit you on the side of New England Road; so you have to find where East Copeland Road meets New England Road. Do not use the location or directions from any other source.
The low entry fee goes along with the lack of payout beyond trophies in each division. The trophies will be fabulous.
Parking will be at a high premium. Carpoolers will be rewarded with upgraded parking opportunities for each additional golfer in the car up to three total.
BYO lunch is recommended. However, you can get to a convenience store in 10 minutes or fast food in 15 minutes. Water will be provided.
There will be a sit-down restroom in the house and a porta-potty on number 7.
This tournament is limited to 64 players. This will leave a range of 16 four-person groups on the course each round and a 2 holes empty at all times in order to accommodate course conflicts.
For those of you who are NOT familiar with the course, rest assured that temporary signage will be provided. You may have heard that there is no permanent signage.
For those of you who ARE familiar with the course, the tournament will play from new fairways on 3, 4, 13, and 18 as well as shortened tee locations on 9 and 16. Those last two were lengthened 3 years ago when I decided there would never be a tournament at Hippo Ridge. Wrong! All changes have been made in order to minimize conflicts on the course.
