Starter Pack Challenge Fundraiser
About this tournament
This event is 1) for fun and 2) to help support Clays Mill Elementary School in the installation of disc golf baskets on the school’s campus.
Because Clays Mill Elementary hopes to develop new disc golfers, this event will maybe remind us of what it was like to be a beginner, by using a beginner Starter Pack for your round.
Cost: $30 (Current BDGA members receive a $5 discount). A portion of each entry will be donated to Clays Mill Elementary for the purchase of baskets.
All players will be provided with a player pack of 3 Innova DX discs (putter, midrange, and fairway driver); molds may vary. These are the only 3 discs allowed to be used for the round of 18 holes.
Three divisions: “I’m pretty good”; “I’m not quite as good as the people who are pretty good” and “I play like a beginner”. Prizes will be awarded for the winners of each division. We’ll also have some prizes for closest to the basket on selected holes. There will also be an Ace Pool offered on the day of the event.
Here’s the super-fun part - because most of us will never again throw beginner discs, players are encouraged at the end of the round to donate some or all of their 3 discs to the disc golf program at Clays Mill Elementary. For each disc donated, you will receive a ticket for a raffle (prize(s) to be determined).
