About this tournament

Welcome to Birch Park and the Spring Fling.

COVID RULES ARE IN EFFECT -

Bill Bruce of Breakin Chains Disc Golf is the TD for this event.

We would like to welcome you to Amherst NH's Birch Park Disc Golf Course, home of the Birch Park Tag League. We are very excited to be part of the Live Free and Drive Points Series. This is a PDGA C-Tier sanctioned Tournament. You do not need to be a member of the Live Free and Drive Series to participate in thisTournament. All disc golf players are welcome.

Birch Park is a great course with some challenging holes. The town of Amherst Parks and Rec. Dept. headed by Craig Fraley, are always working on the course and making new improvements.

Registration will start at 7:30 am . Your player meeting will be e-mailed to you the night before the tournament. Your hole assignments will be in this E-Mail. First Round will begin at 9:00 am. There will be 2 rounds of 18 holes played by each player with a lunch break between rounds. Second round will begin 30 minutes after last card from 1st round comes in. It is critical that there be no gatherings of more than ten people at any time during this tournament and we ask that when you arrive for the tournament come to the registration table and sign in . You will also be asked to sign a Covid-19 agreement for the PDGA. Then you will proceed to your assigned hole and wait for the 2 minute warning, (2 short blasts from our air horn). As usual you can practice at your assigned hole until the 2 minute warning horn. At this time all practice warm up play must stop until the tournament begins. We ask that you all to practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart at all times during the day.

We will be using live scoring for this tournament which should help move things right along when it comes to adding up all the scores . This will also help with social distancing. Your code for live scoring will be given to you on the player meeting E-mail.. As you can see there are a large number of players for this tournament so this will help move things along. Your patience will be appreciated.

The course will be in long basket positions and OBs will be in effect. Ob will be discussed on the player meeting E-mail

All PDGA Rules will be enforced and it is the players responsibility to familiarize themselves with these rules. Any non-PDGA member will pay an additional $10 when registering. This $10 goes directly to the PDGA. Payouts will follow PDGA guidelines.

LUNCH: You will be on your own to provide yourself with some lunch due to Covid-19 issues. As we mentioned lunch will go until 30 minutes after the last card comes in.
It is required that there are no groups gathering with more than 10 people. Please work with us on this so we will be able to continue to bring you tournaments.

Don't forget to sign up for the Ace Pot and the CTP options if you want to be able to qualify for them. It is the Policy of Breakin Chains Disc Golf that any ACE hit on a CTP hole is considered the ultimate CTP and the player will not only receive the ACE $$ for the hole, they will get the CTP prize also. There will be a playoff for the Ace Pot if it is not hit during the tournament. The Tournament Director will decide on rules for the playoff .
