Hello everyone and welcome to the second annual Southern Ohio Classic, the premiere event of the Southern Ohio Disc Golf Association's competitive season. This year, we will be continuing the tradition of incorporating the two highlight courses in the area, Black Bear DGC and Fire & Smoke DGC. This year, SOC will also serve as the finale of the Ohio River Valley Point Series, a 6 event series highlighting the growth of disc golf along the Ohio River Valley.

As always, this event will demand everything you have to conquer it; the OBs will be tighter, the holes longer, and each course will have a whole new look than you're used to. Players will start on the Fire & Smoke DGC, battling the exposed and open fairways riddled with tight OB before finishing day two navigating the wooded beast that is Black Bear DGC.

Fire & Smoke DGC will be in its hardest form, the SOC Temp Layout. You will find lengthened holes with new pin locations, extremely tight OB with little room for error, and a finishing stretch of two stellar temporary holes. And if that isn't challenge enough, Black Bear DGC still strives to top it. With most every hole being in its longest placement, some extra OB to contend with, and a trio of legendary temp holes to finish on the iconic 21st Island, the Bear always looms in the trees, ready to strike.

All Ams will receive a players pack of two discs provided by Meridian Discs, as well as other items TBD, with payouts being provided by the SODGA Store. Pros will have added cash in accordance with PDGA requirements, with payouts being handled electronically post event.

As previously mentioned, SOC will play host to the Finale of the Ohio River Valley Point Series, as well as serving as a Signature Event on the Series, being worth 1.5x the points. If present, Divisional Champions will also be awarded with their trophies after day two of play.
