About this tournament

The CWE (Canadian Women’s Event) tournament is a nation wide tournament to unite women.

Following the 2022 Women's Global Event (WGE), tournament directors (TDs) were asked to complete a survey to determine future of the WGE. It was decided that the WE would be offered in May every other year with the next event in 2024.
Mindy Myall (Discy Chicks) felt that Canadian TDs had a desire in the disc golf community and celebrate the growth of women in disc golf more frequently. In addition, the limitations of a single day event does not allow for the seasonal variation in conditions that Canadian's experience (like the single-day WE held in May).
Via social media she reached out to the women to see if there was an interest in doing more. The Maritime chapter of Discy Chicks confirmed their desire to network with TDs throughout Canada to build something of our own. Following, was an outpouring of support and the WE was born!
