The RHD Tire Open is a one day, two round PDGA Sanctioned B-Tier tournament on the Championship Course at Earl W Brewer Park in Byron Center, MI.
RHD Tire is an automotive tire wholesaler and retailer with two great locations in Michigan. In Grand Rapids, they are located at 650 36th st SE in Wyoming, just past Roger B. For our friends on the east side, RHD Tire East is located at 1525 Wanda St in Ferndale, just south of 9 Mile Rd. This is the second consecutive year RHD Tire has partnered with Grand Rapids Disc Golfers United for an awesome tournament, but RHD has been an active supporter of GRDGU since our founding in 2014. We would like to thank RHD Tire for all of their support. Remember to support those who support the sport.
Pro players will have a chance to compete for 100% payouts on top of $500 Added Cash. We welcome all professionals, but we do ask for 3 or more players in each professional division. Amateur players will play for 150% payouts provided by Great Lakes Disc. We ask that if possible amateur divisions have 3 or more players (Women and Junior divisions are excluded from the player minimum). We will also have two berths to the Discraft Michigan State Championship available. Anybody who wins a division of three or more players (excluding MA4) will be entered into a drawing, held during payouts, with two players obtaining their berths. We will keep drawing until we get two.
The field will have a HARD CAP of 72 players. 20 spots for Pro divisions will be reserved until August 2nd at 8 pm. After that point any remaining spots will be filled via the wait list and then become first come, first serve. If there is a wait list, promotion from the wait list to the tournament will be based on the order in which wait list pre-registration was received. Any player wishing to register must pay in full, including the wait list. No cashless registration. Any player who is registered on the wait list who does not make the tournament will receive a 100% refund.
Course Layouts: MA4, FA2, FA3, All juniors and all amateur divisions age protected 50 and over will play from the short tee pads on 2, 6, 7, 8, 13, 17 and 18. All other divisions will play from the long tee pads.

Amateur players will receive a beautiful custom stamped disc from Innova. Pro Players who are interested in buying one will be able to based on availability, cost TBA. Thank you to Innova Champion Discs for their support!
Raffle Tickets: 1 for $1, 12 for $10, 25 for $20. We will be raffling a Innova Discatcher Sport, a Zuca Cart and much more! Thank you to Innova for the basket and Zuca Inc. for providing the cart!
