We are bringing the Discraft Ace Race back!
This year we are going to try something a little different to try and include more people in the event.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION WHEN REGISTERING
When you register for the event the fee will be $20 to enter the event and then IF you would like to get the Ace Race players pack you need to select the players pack option during registration. If you don't select that then you will not receive a players pack. Please just double check that when you are registering to avoid as much confusion as possible come the event. If you decide not to get the players pack you may bring two of your own discs to play (They must be two of the same disc and must be similar to this years Ace Race disc to keep it fair. I will keep everyone updated as I find out more about the mold but most recent I have heard is in the realm of a 6/6/-1/1. Please feel free to reach out to me to determine if the disc you want to use will be ok.)
The layout will be a modified 20 hole layout at Freeman Park in Idaho Falls. We will shorten up/add holes to make a 20 hole layout with holes ranging 150-250 feet. The only things that matter in this event is metal hits and aces so run everything!
To try and include as many people as possible I am making this a two day event. You only need to show up to one day so either Friday or Saturday (unless you really just like to play disc golf and run aces then show up for both!) to record your rounds. Cards will be up to players with a minimum of 3 per card and no more than 6 just as a courtesy with pace of play. Score will be kept on paper scorecards and will need to be turned into myself or someone helping me after your cards complete their rounds.
Divisions will be as follows
950+
900-949
850-899
849 and below
If you do not have a PDGA rating use your best judgement or reach out to me with questions and I will help you figure out where best to play!
Trophies will be an engraved wooden disc for 1st place and payouts will go to the top 3 in each division. This event is meant to be as fun as possible and in trying to make it that way I am trying some new stuff so please keep that in mind and hopefully this event takes off and we can make this kind of format a regular thing!
