About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the Snake River Circuit. This tournament series is being held with two goals in mind. The first goal is to raise funds for repairs and improvements of the school courses around Twin Falls. This will include things like resleeving baskets, replacing broken parts, pouring t-pads, etc. The schools in question are Kimberly Middle/Highschool, O'leary Middle School, Robert Stuart Middle School and Filer Highschool. The second goal is to raise awareness of these courses and the sport in general. Be you a local or someone passing through, I hope to show how these courses can be an enjoyable experience for all. With that awareness, I also hope to start working with the schools during the school season to hold clinics for any students interested in the sport.
With the goals out of the way, let's dive into the logistics of the tournament. This tournament is number 1 of a series of 4. It will consist of 2 rounds on a custom layout. Points will be awarded based on the final standings for each tournament. The best standings in 3 out of the 4 tournaments will be used to determine the overall series standings. If you cannot attend all tournaments, do not worry. At the end of each, there will be payouts. 50% of the entry fees will go towards the improvement funds, and the other 50% will go towards payouts. FOR JUNIORS The payouts will go to the legal guardians. After the final tournament, points will be tallied, standings will be finalized, and and awards ceremony will be held. The awards ceremony will include payouts for the final tournament and trophies for the series standings.
Registrations will happen on the day of as of this moment. If you would like to "register" earlier feel free to reach out to me via email at [email redacted] with the subject line Snake River Circuit. Please provide your name and division within the body of the email, and I will add you to the list of players on this tournament page. Payments will be accepted day of in the form of cash. So if you do "pre-register" and cannot make it, simply let me know and I will remove you from the list of participants.
Since each tournament will consist of custom layouts, caddy books will be prepared for participants and handed out on the day of. The course itself will be clearly marked in terms of t-pads and any otherwise unclear boundaries.
There will be a raffle during the final awards ceremony. Tickets will be sold at each event. If you are unable to attend the final event and would like to participate, you can provide me with your information and I will write them on any raffle tickets you purchase. If drawn for a prize, I will reach out to you and arrange getting your prize to you in the most agreeable method. Raffle ticket prices are TBD.
If you would like to stay up to date on information regarding the series, I will be posting information on the Southern Idaho Chuckers facebook group page as well as the Gem State Rounders facebook group page.
