About this tournament
1 round of play
Join us for the Sleepy Hollow Showdown, the 1st Annual Charity Disc Golf Tournament held at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course located at 8600 Country Club Drive in Rome, NY. This event promises to be a day filled with friendly competition, comradery, and fun, all while supporting a great cause. This event is a one-round unlimited $1 mulligan tournament. All proceeds and donations from the tournament will directly benefit the Rome Humane Society, helping them continue their vital work in caring for animals in need.
To ensure a safe and family-friendly environment, there will be ABSOLUTELY no outside alcoholic beverages allowed. However, a bar is available in the clubhouse for all your tournament beverages. Lunch will be provided after the round to keep you fueled and ready to play some mini-games and a raffle. Rapid River Disc will be on-site selling merchandise, so be sure to check out their selection. For those looking to enhance their experience, a limited number of golf carts will be available to rent for an additional fee day of the event.
The top 4 players from the first round across all players will earn a spot to a thrilling K9+1 (10 hole) skins match after lunch, where each hole is worth $150. With a total payout of $1,500 up for grabs, this competition promises intense action and fun. This extra addition of fun is sponsored by Miner Reality so be sure to check them out!
This event has partnered with the Paul McBeth Foundation to assist them in funding their course development initiatives. PMF focuses on developing and introducing sustainable disc golf experiences in underserved locations with limited or no access to the sport. We thank you for your consideration to contribute during registration. To read more about PMF, check out their website: www.paulmcbethfoundation.org
With a $5 buy-in (day of event), participants will have a chance to win amazing prizes donated by the PMF and compete in a Closest to the Pin (CTP) challenge. Your contribution will help the foundation bring the joy of disc golf to new communities globally. This add on is separate from the one round of golf you'll be signing up for, but will run after the main round.
If you have a basket or two to contribute for the day, please reach out to one of the tournament staff members. As this is not a permanent course we will need access to your basket the day before the event for set-up.
