I am thrilled that The Oasis at Warwick, in conjunction with WEDGE, will host a charity winter event on Saturday, February 1st at The Oasis.
SCHMOIN' For OWEN !!!
This event will raise funds to assist Skylander Owen Smith and his family with medical costs and care for little Owen Smith Jr, born 10 weeks premature. Little Owen is doing great and this event is a great way to help "one of our own".
WEDGE has graciously allowed us to process deductible charitable donations to take advantage of their 501-c status: http://bit.ly/shmoinforowen
1 round of doubles, 1 round of singles, 2 separate competitions.
$30 PER PERSON - $60 entry fee is for the team
DGS REGISTRATION IS FOR THE DOUBLES EVENT ONLY - in the afternoon players can opt for either traditional singles, or Zephyr only.
Doubles/Singles divisions:
UA: Usually Awesome division (Rating approx. 950+)
SA: Sometimes Awesome; usually good, sometimes lame
OA: Occasionally I/we throw an awesome shot, but usually I/we suck
NA: What's an awesome shot?
Zephyr Only: 1 Division Only
Everyone should bring gifts for the lunchtime CTDG contest, for the silent auction, and for prizes. Gifts do not have to be disc related - be creative! Payouts will consist of donated prizes.
BRING FOOD TO SHARE AT LUNCHTIME
All entrants will receive a special "Owen Smith" disc.
Please be generous, pay it forward, earn some awesome karma, and open up your wallets to help Owen and his family!!!
