About this tournament
2 rounds of play
This will be a two round qualifying tournament for the the main USDGC Amateur Doubles tournament held in Rock Hill, SC from September 30th though October 2nd. In order to qualify for the main event both players must be classified as amateur per the PDGA.
USDGC Doubles Main Event is all AM
PDGA Classification must be listed as Amateur. Your PDGA Player Info page must list your classification as amateur.
A player competes in amateur divisions. ( If a player plays in a Pro division and accepts cash at any time, they are considered a Professional).
A player is considered amateur as long as they have never accepted cash in a professional division of a PDGA sanctioned event.
Each participant in the qualifier will receive a custom stamped USDGC Doubles Premium Innova Disc as a player pack. Top finishing teams will receive trophy medals commemorating their accomplishment as well as the coveted invite to compete in the Main Event.
Best shot doubles format.
OB AND GUIDELINES
On or across ALL sidewalks is OB.
Pre-2022 mandatory rules apply. If mandatory is missed, you may play back through it or proceed to drop zone with penalty.
Hole 1: All players throw from red pad. Mandatory right of marked tree. Proceed to white pad with penalty if missed.
Hole 5: Proceed to white pad with penalty if sidewalk is not cleared from tee.
Hole 6: Fully surrounded by water or across creek is OB.
If disc does not come to rest in bounds, proceed to white pad with penalty.
Hole 7: Fully surrounded by water or across creek is OB.
Hole 8: Proceed to drop zone with penalty if sidewalk is not cleared from tee.
Over fence on right is OB.
Hole 9: On concrete under pavillion is OB.
Over fence around water tower and building is OB.
Hole 10: On concrete under pavillion is OB.
Hole 12: Proceed to white pad with penalty if sidewalk is not cleared from tee.
Hole 15: Double mando between marked trees. Proceed to drop zone with penalty if missed.
Hole 18: All players throw from red pad. Double mando between marked trees. Proceed to drop zone with penalty if missed.
Men
1-14 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
15-24 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
25+ Teams = 3 Teams qualify
Women
1-14 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
15-24 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
25+ Teams = 3 Teams qualify
$40 per team, $20 for discs, $10 to the club, and $10 to payout.
$5 for ace pool - There will be a throw off for half of the pot if it isn't hit during the round.
$5 for CTPs - Merchandise packages (CTP TBD) will be given to the CTP winners that buy in. Two per division, all in round 1.
