About this tournament
This is a charity event under the national Ice Bowl flag, held by the Southern Utah Disc Gold Association at Pine View Park in Washington, UT. All proceeds will go to help the Utah Food Bank, Southern Utah division. All divisions are $10 and will include an Ice Bowl stamped disc in their players pack. You can also purchase "Stroke Saving String" when you register online or anytime at the event. There is also an optional $2 true ace pot. For every 5 cans of food donated, we will also give you another foot of string.
The stroke saving string covers ground you may need to save you some strokes out on the course. There is no limit on how much string you can buy. Why?!? Because its for charity! Here's how it works. If you land a drive 10 feet from the basket and you have at least 10 feet of string, you run the string from the disc to the basket pole and now you've got an ace! The kicker? Once you've used that string, its cut and gone! You can use the string in any scenario on the course. Did your drive land 6 inches out of bounds? No it didn't, cause you used 6 inches of string to bring it back in! Did your birdie putt bounce out of the chains and land a foot from the basket? No it didn't, cause you used a foot of string and now your birdie is recovered! Did your upshot land right behind a tree between you and the basket? Nope! Nope! Nope! It should be a blast!
We will have a small awards ceremony, a chili lunch, hot chocolate in the morning, and a raffle! Be sure to sign up soon!
