Disc Golf Scene

Hello All.. This will be a 2 round, 36 hole tournament at Sherwood Forest Disc Golf Course. Tournament will be a standard C Tier two rounder with a break between rounds for lunch. We will play the Forest configured to run 5,225 feet at par 57 twice, same layout. This will be sanctioned through the PDGA as a C Tier.

Course Set Up

We will play a standard version of Forest, same setup two rounds. Tee pad and Basket location options are detailed in the picture section with some specific OB notes. Fences and Asphalt & beyond are OB, water is casual. PDGA 806.03 is the casual water rule.. “relief back along the line of play” For this tournament, we will declare alternative relief option to allow closest point of relief plus one meter any direction in case of casual water.

Player Pack for AMs

AM players will get a custom disc from Innova. All discs will be the new Innova Champion Proto Glow plastic. Mold choices will include: Toro, Wombat3, Stingray, Leopard3, Roadrunner, Mamba, Wraith, Tern or Shryke. Disc selection will be an option during registration; limited selection will be on a first come basis.

CTPs

We will run CTPs during both rounds on holes 7, 8, 15, & 16 . These CTP prizes are available to all players in the tournament and each will be worth $50+. Total retail is $574 for the 8 CTPs combined. Pictures of each are in the picture section of this site. SPECIAL CTP SHERWOOD RULE: Each player only gets to mark their name down once and only once during the full 2 rounds and 8 CTP holes. This spreads out the CTP love, adds a level of strategy when and where to burn your one use.

Ace Pot

No tournament level Ace Pot.. Groupings/Cards are welcome to do $5$1 or the gentlemen thing, but communication early is encouraged and wont be part of the formal tournament. Sherwood DGA rolling league ace pot will be live for tag holders. Its $140 currently. Multiple aces split over the 36, No entry beyond being a tag holder 2025 OR 2026. If no aces, it rolls into league play next year.

Payouts:

We will utilize PDGA default standard payouts. Pros via paypal, AM via emailed digital gift cert at 13 Peaks Trading in Sherwood. Both Pro and AMs will get prize payouts between 24 and 48 hours from tournament close.
