About this tournament
The 2026 South Carolina Doubles Championship is a two-day, three round event at Golden Grove Farm and Brewery in Piedmont, South Carolina on March 14th and 15th.
This is a bring your own partner event. This event serves as a qualifier for the USDGC Doubles Championship in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
The format for Saturday is best shot / captain's choice. Sunday's format is alternate tee, alternate shot.
On Saturday, MA1 players will play from the longs. All other divisions will play the standard tournament hybrid layout. All divisions will play the hybrid layout on Sunday.
For 2026, there are new divisions that can qualify for USDGC Doubles- in addition to M/FA1 there are now M/FA2 and M/FA40 divisions.
In addition to new divisions, the USDGC Doubles team is also adjusting the thresholds required to award multiple qualifying spots at each qualifier event—making it easier than ever for players to earn their way to Rock Hill, South Carolina, for the prestigious USDGC Doubles Main Event held the first weekend of October.
2026 Qualification Breakdown
MA1 & MA2 Divisions
1–5 teams → 1 team qualifies
6-10 teams → 2 teams qualify
11+ teams → 3 teams qualify
FA1, MA40 & FA40 Divisions
1–3 teams → 1 team qualifies
4-7 teams → 2 teams qualify
8+ teams → 3 teams qualify
Players pack for all divisions includes USDGC Doubles stamped disc and custom event lightweight hoodie. Custom event stamped trophies will be awarded to all first place teams. Divisions with five or more teams will also award second place trophies.
There will be NO day-of changes to the tournament. All division changes, drops, and registrations must be completed by Friday night. No walk-up registrations will be accepted.
