About this tournament

Returning for 2025, it’s the Upstate DGC Winter League! This is Round 1 at Timmons Park ran by Stephen Scoggins. General entry cost is free for Upstate Club Members and $2 for non-members. There is an optional $10 payout entry paying the top 25% of those who choose to enter. There is side action as well. Please see details for league below:
Side action day of will be $1 Ace pot, $1 CTP, and a 2 canned food donation minimum prize CTP from the Upstate Disc Golf Club prize bin. We’ve got some great discs from donations last year as well as a lot of great old Upstate DGC swag! Ace pots will have an ace pot CTP hole for those who paid into the pot; if no aces are hit the winner of that CTP will take that week’s pot. No Ace pots will roll over week to week.
In addition to this, there will be an optional $10 payout buy in at sign up. Those who buy in will be competing for a payout of the pot to the top 25% of those who bought in. There will be no divisions for this, if you pay in you’re competing against everyone else who paid in. Those competing for payout will still compete in MA1/MPO and will be assigned to random cards; you may have others on your card not competing for payout.
All participants will compete in MA1 to maximize points for participants (the only exception is any MPO members will compete in MPO). Weekly league points will be tracked by rating and entered in Disc Golf Scene each week. Points are the rating of the round you shot, so if your round rating is 800 you earned 800 points that week. Participants top 6 rounds will count to the league championship, for all the bragging rights!
Cards will be set the night before; we will not be using a scorepoint nor putting the starting holes in PDGA so please check in at the course to get your starting hole. These are subject to change based on if anyone does not show up so please attend the players meeting before the round to check that starting holes have not changed. Cards will be randomly assigned via random number generator in Excel.
Remember, if you’re not an Upstate member it is $2/round to play; that is not refundable if you join the club at some point during the league but rounds will be free going forward from when you join.
