About this tournament
Welcome to the 2023 Ring the Bell! We are really excited for this year’s event and looking to grow even more on the success we had in 2022.
This event will once again be held at Tower Ridge in Simsbury on September 9th and 10th. This is a PDGA Sanctioned B-Tier. Please note that as of 2022, you must be a current PDGA member in order to compete in any event that is a B-Tier or higher.
EVENT FEES:
We have set the cost at $75 for all Pro divisions and $50 for all Amateur divisions, broken down as follows:
Pro:
$75 per player broken down as follows:
- $3 to the PDGA
- $3 TD Fee ($1 of which will be donated to Throw Pink)
- $12 to Green’s Fee
- $57 to the payout
Effective 2022: Please remember that in order to receive cash at a PDGA event in a Pro division, the player must have a PDGA number (current or expired)
Amateur:
$50 per player broken down as follows:
- $3 to the PDGA
- $3 TD Fee ($1 of which will be donated to Throw Pink)
- $12 to Green’s Fee
- $32 to the player pack / tournament costs
If you would like to sponsor the event and be able to register early, we are offering up to 48 non-refundable $25 Event Sponsorships.
PLAYER PACK:
Amateur Player Pack will have a minimum value of the total entry fee. Exact items will not be revealed until the event.
FORMAT/LAYOUT:
Tee Times
We will play 2 rounds of 18, 1 round per day, with tee times. Tee times for Round 1 will be posted no later than 9 PM on September 7th. Divisions will tee in the following order: FA3, MA60, MA3, FA2, MA50, MA2, FA1, MA40, MA1, MP60, MP50, MP40, FPO, MPO
Layouts
Round 1: All divisions will play the White layout
Round 2: All Pro divisions and MA1 will play the Blue layout. All other divisions will play the White layout.
PARKING:
Please park in the main lot. The lot across the street may be used after the main lot is full.
TOURNAMENT CENTRAL:
Tournament central for this event will be located in the pro shop.
CHECK IN:
Please plan to check in a minimum of 15 minutes before your assigned tee time each day. If you are not checked in or notified tournament staff prior to your assigned tee time will be declared a NO SHOW.
PLAYERS MEETING:
A virtual players meeting will be emailed to competitors once online registration has closed.
AWARDS/PRIZES:
Professional divisions are playing for cash (100% payout minus fees, with min $750 added) and trophy.
Amateur divisions will be playing for trophy only, following the PDGA true amateur guidelines.
Awards will be distributed as divisions finish on Sunday.
