Randy's 50th Fling!
About this tournament
This is a 16-player Invitational for Randy's 50th Birthday. Invite only and please NO DOGS.
We will play a short approach-only game first, followed by 2 rounds of 9 holes of disc golf, then prizes and dinner.
If you have ANY questions, call or text Randy at 707-499-5521.
Parking: There is VERY little parking at the course so we will have a shuttle for all players from Jacoby Creek School (1617 Old Arcata Rd, Bayside, CA 95524). If you have a designated driver to drop you off and pick you up after, even better. If you have to park here and not use the shuttle, contact Randy 1st to make sure there is room. Don't assume there is room to park.
Donation: I'm covering all the food, drinks, and lots of prizes to choose from. Instead of birthday gifts and to thank our gracious hosts, I am requesting a $20 donation for the course development fund to go toward future course upgrades and maintenance.
Format:
The approach round will be short 75-150' holes where each player throws 2 discs (consecutively) off the tee with no putting. Points awarded for ace (10), closest to pin (3), 2nd closest to pin (2), and 3rd closest (1). Most points win this round and your score will factor into your final disc golf score.
We will have individual scoring and switch-up doubles partners each round.
Prizes available will include a large variety of Randy's art, discs from his collection, and a few other surprises. Winners will be called in order and can select the prize they want from what remains. Don't take too long to choose though cause we will call the next name quickly.
Besides prizes for the top three scores, there will be a few extra ways we will be awarding prizes as we try to add to the fun.
-Most tree hits
-Most dots (metal hits that don't go in)
-Most rollers (Don't let Randy win this one!)
-3 CTP's (holes 1, 5, and 15)
-10 Easter Eggs. Wait, what? If your disc lands within 6' of an Easter Egg, pick it up and exchange later for a prize. Remember this is doubles so let your partner make a good shot and aim for the Easter egg!
-Nobody will go home without a prize.
Food and Drinks: We will have snacks and drinks for during play and catered Mexican food dinner after the games. Please drink responsibly and remember rule #1.
