About this tournament
Indoor putting tournament. Practice before a weekend of madness.
We are taking over the back room of Stumpy's Hatchet House of Princeton to set up 8 baskets for a putting tournament.
You will make three putts at each of the 8 baskets, then proceed to hatchet throwing pit. As part of the tournament at the end of each cycle of 8 baskets, you will throw 8 hatchet throws. If your hatchet sticks anywhere in the target, you will receive 1 point. You will do this 9 station loop 3 times, a total of 72 putts and 24 hatchet throws. Station points vary from 1 - 3 points per putt, with a maximum points of 168 for 3 perfect rounds. The player with the highest score wins. Each round must be witnessed. (*** If you cannot throw a hatchet or do not want to, you may skip that station and receive 0 points for it.)
Our effort is to not only provide you with a fun indoor putting tournament but also to expose you to sport of hatchet throwing.
The event is charging us $15 per player. $5 per player goes towards payouts. We hope to add to that with sponsorship. (NOTE: The normal use rate of the facility is $25 per hour per player. We have the use of the room for 5 hours at only $15 per person.)
After you have finished your 3 rounds and handed in your score card, please stay and continue to throw as time permits between other players. You can also go into the main room and rent a hatchet throwing pit at a good discounted rate. The facility also has a shuffleboard table(s), couches, a t.v. and a giant Jenga(s).
You do not have to stay until the end, if you have to leave and you win we will arrange delivery or pick up of your prizes and trophies. If there is a tie for first place, there will be a sudden death playoff, must be on site to win.
This Stumpy's ocation is BYOB (beer or wine only) and BYOF (there are some places that deliver). Ice will be supplied to keep your beverages cool.
Stumpy's rules: Must be 18 or older, but non-throwing spectators are encouraged.
