About this tournament

To end the season in style, the Putnam County Founding Flyers will be hosting a club championship to end our doubles series. This will be the final week of our series leading up to the Second Annual Putnam County Flying Disc Classic. This event will run much like our weekly doubles series with a few extras thrown in to make the conclusion to our summer season a fun one.
FORMAT: Bring your own partner for best-shot doubles on short tees at Valley Park. We ask that teams be evenly matched. Instead of our typical random draw using "A" and "B" pools we will ask that players create their own teams in advance. To make the match fair we request that two advanced players not be paired together. Please do your best to keep newer players paired with advanced players to keep teams even.
COST: $10 per team ($5 per person). This minimal entry will be asked for each team that wishes to participate. Registration will be the day of the event. Players may contact league administrators to get their teams a slot. All are welcome regardless of past participation in the summer series. The registration fee gets your team a chance at all of the following...
ACE POOL: Entry to our ace pool is included in the registration cost. The amount of cash in the pot will be determined the week prior based on the amount that has been entered in the pool. If multiple aces are hit, the cash will be split evenly among the players that card a hole-in-one.

PRIZE FOR WINNING TEAM: The team with the top score will earn a $50 gift certificate for Valley Sports ($25 Credit Each).
THROWING FOR DOLLARS: As per tradition we will end our event with a throwing-for-dollars match. The pot will start at $20. Each player will get one (1) throw to get as close to the basket as possible. Additional throws may be purchased for $1 each. The disc closest to the pin will take home some fresh cash.
Registration will be at the shelter by basket #18 from 5:00-5:30. Tee off will be at 5:45.
Be sure to get in on this one friends! We have started a great thing in Putnam County and wish to see a great turnout for our final league event of the season.
