The Prodigy Disc presents The Battle 2019 tournament is a two day, 54 hole tournament at the Barrett Park temporary course in Red Deer, Alberta. This is the 7th event of the 2019 Alberta Disc Golf Tour.
Our goal is to offer you a smoothly run and efficient tournament and to clearly communicate with all participants in regards to the tournament. If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the tournament administrators.
With that as our goal, here are some things for all participants to be aware of:
1. Barrett Park is a public park and this tournament is on a temporary course.
2. The course is technical and has a lot of OB (defined by pathways, back alleys, and waterways) and unfortunately, there will not be a lot of time available to practice on the course.
3. It is important to note that this park is active with walkers and bike riders and while the Park is booked for us to use for the tournament, the paths are still open.
4. There are garbage cans throughout the park. Use these or carry out what you bring in. There will be no leniency here.
5. It is all one big Ace Pot.
6. There are only 72 Spots. That is the cut-off.
7. The baskets we will be using are Prodigy T2s.
Out of Towners
If you are looking for a camp site, check with The Lions Campgrounds or https://www.reddeerlionscampground.com or Westerner Campgrounds http://www.westernercampground.com/index.html. Both are about the same price and distance from Barrett Park.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SATURDAY
There is a Farmers Market right beside the Park and this uses our parking lot. For the morning round, you will have to park in the Parkvale neighbourhood and walk to the Kenix Arena where we will be holding registration.
