We will start by giving a huge shout out to Prodigy Disc. These guys have instrumental in helping Polk County grow Disc Golf for the last 4 years!

The 3rd Annual 2023 Polk County Open will be held on the weekend of February 3rd through 5th , 2023. The event will be held at Loyce Harpe Park and Holloway Park. We are now accepting registration for a total of 236 Competitors. Please review Photos for detailed information on Pool Assignments.

PDGA B-Tier Event. $750 Added Cash split amongst Pro Fields. $1250 additional monies will be added to assist with Event Costs.

This year we are excited to introduce “The Imperial Club.” This new program allows players to register early. Participants will receive an additional custom-stamped full-color disc and exclusive entry into a CTP. The CTP winner receives one free entry into the 2024 Polk County Open. We will send an email out to participants with further CTP details at a later date. Early Registration will begin on December 5, 2022 and will end on December 12, 2022. Don’t miss this opportunity to guarantee a spot in the event. This cost will be an additional $30.00. Please note: This option is non-refundable due to the custom disc order. We are offering early registration for 33% of each Pool’s capacity.

Full registration will open at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 12, 2022. Registration will close at 7:00 pm on January 20, 2023.

All Amateurs will receive a player’s pack of (1) Tournament stamped disc and (1) Long sleeve quarter zip shirt.

Players registering after 1/13/2023 will receive (2) Tournament discs but no shirt.

Waitlist players may not receive a shirt if promoted after 1/13/2023.

Payouts for Amateurs will be online via www.ProdigyDisc.com. Each player will receive an email after the event with a gift card that you will use at checkout.

Trophies for 1st Place for all Divisions who meet the minimum requirement of 4 players.

1st Place ties will result in a sudden death playoff. See below for Playoff Holes.

Holloway on Sunday: A-Pool and B-Pool:
Playoffs will be completed in a loop of Holes 1, 2, 3, 17, then 18. The loop will be repeated until we have a winner. Play the pads assigned to your division.

Loyce on Sunday: C-Pool:
Playoffs will start on Hole 1. Competitors will play the course in order until a winner is determined. Play the pads assigned to your division.

Trophies beyond 1st Place will be decided between competitors. i.e. throw off, sudden death, etc.

Per PDGA guidelines, we will be using the PDGA Ratings Update published on January 10th to determine division eligibility. At this time, any adjustments to a player's division and pool will be made on this day and notification will be sent via email to any impacted players. These changes will allow for open spots to be released to waitlisted players.

From the PDGA:
If you have pre-registered, the TD may allow you to remain in that division as long as the event is within two weeks of the ratings posting date. If you did not pre-register before the new ratings were posted, then you are expected to play in the division (or higher) where your new rating now resides.

All refunds will be handled in accordance with PDGA Competition Manual 1.03 Withdrawals and Refunds.

Registration will close on January 27, 2023.

All drop requests prior to 1/6/2023 will be given 100% refund.

All drop requests between 1/6/2023 and 1/30/2023 will be given a 100% refund only if the player’s spot can be filled from the waitlist. If the player’s spot is not replaced, the player will be given their player package. Players will be responsible for either arranging pickup or paying for shipping of their player package.

All drop requests on or after 1/30/2023 will be given their player package. Players will be responsible for either arranging pickup or paying for shipping of their player package.

Drop requests later than 1/30/2023 will receive no refund.

Waitlist players who do not get to play will be fully refunded.
