About this tournament

Playing in My Shoes is a free, inclusive disc golf event designed for all ages, abilities, and income levels. It invites participants to experience the game from different perspectives, building empathy and understanding of what it means to play in someone else’s shoes.

Now in its third year, the event celebrates and promotes accessibility, diversity, and inclusion within disc golf and the broader community.

This event is a U.S. affiliate as part of a larger initiative, with clinics hosted across Canada during Canadian Accessibility Week. All events take place on Sunday, May 25 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (local time).

Participants rotate through five unique throwing experiences, each designed to reflect different physical abilities and challenges. The goal is to encourage more inclusive course design, improve access to recreational spaces, and highlight how welcoming and adaptable disc golf can be.

Ultimately, Playing in My Shoes is about expanding perspective and reinforcing that disc golf is a sport for everyone.

This event will take place utilizing the practice baskets while the Battle by the Border tournament takes place on the course, so if you are interested in spectating a few holes of competitive disc golf, this is also a prime opportunity for this!
